Where the numbers come from

The board tracks 17,325 startups. 4,591 of them have public revenue, and 3,970 of those are verified against a payment provider.

Verified revenue

A verified figure comes from a read-only connection to the startup's payment provider, such as Stripe, Dodo, Polar or LemonSqueezy. We read subscription totals once a day and store the daily value, which is what the revenue history charts show.

Self-reported revenue

Some founders share their numbers publicly without connecting a provider. Those figures carry a self-reported tag. We drop claims that look implausible, such as a famous brand listed by someone unrelated to it.
